According to a statement from Manner, it was found that Zhu, a former employee of Shanghai Aicha Restaurant Service Co., Ltd. (Mstand Coffee), had published several articles that seriously damaged Manner's reputation, such as false remarks, using the "julia" Little Red Book account (which has been cancelled).

Manner said that Zhu's behavior had violated the labor contract and confidentiality agreement signed with Manner during his tenure, and even though he was known to have a competition agreement, he still broke the law to join other coffee brands and received double wages. At the same time, he said it was not clear whether Zhu was directly or indirectly authorized and instructed by Mstand, but had contacted the Hangzhou police to pursue criminal responsibility and would institute legal proceedings.

Manner responded to questions about payroll after saying it would pursue legal action against some former and current employees. Manner said that when most stores were closed during the epidemic, it was the first time in the industry that social insurance and house fund was paid according to the full basic salary (3600-11300 yuan) and paid normally, which was much higher than the (Shanghai) city's minimum wage of 2590 yuan and the Shanghai standard of living of 2072 yuan.

So is it reasonable for Manner to pay like this? A lawyer said: according to the interim provisions on wage payment issued by the Ministry of Labor, if the unit stops work or production within a wage payment cycle, the employer shall pay the laborer's wages according to the standards stipulated in the labor contract. If there is more than one wage payment cycle, if the laborer provides normal labor, the labor remuneration paid to the laborer shall not be lower than the local minimum wage; if the laborer does not provide normal labor, it shall be dealt with in accordance with the relevant provisions of the state.

If Manner's statement is true, then the company's salary payment is in line with the relevant regulations. For both Manner and other coffee brands, baristas are paid in full according to the basic salary during the outbreak, but will be made up after the store resumes business according to the working hours required by different positions.

In addition to the option of getting a normal salary now but having to make up for the working hours later, you can also choose not to make up for it later, but there is only a salary of 2072 yuan.
