Wine + coffee? How do you make an Irish version of "sauce-flavored latte"?
Ruixing recently launched a "Maotai latte" caused a quite high craze, after all, its raw materials contain China's most well-known distilled liquor "Maotai". But in fact, in Ireland a long time ago, has opened up such a practice! Use our own special distilled liquor "whisky" to combine with coffee, and then create the famous "Irish coffee"!
There are many versions of the story of the origin of Irish coffee, and the most credible one is the following story about the discovery of Irish coffee due to the delay in taking off. At the airport in western Ireland in 1952, all flights were delayed because of deteriorating weather, and Stan delnplane, an American journalist who was supposed to return to the United States on today's flight, was forced to stay at the airport and wait for the weather to improve. So he went to the cocktail bar inside the airport and wanted to spend his leisure time with alcohol. As we all know, cocktail bars can not only choose specific drinks that appear on the menu, but also communicate with the bartender to make cocktails that suit his current mood / taste. Then Stan said, "I'd like a cocktail that suits this bad weather." The bartender understood and began to make: heating the wine, making coffee, whipping cream, and pushing a steaming cocktail in front of Stan after a series of gorgeous operations.
Stan was shocked after tasting it. Although it was a glass of wine, it was very warm. So asked the name of the cocktail, the bartender immediately replied: this is made of coffee and our local specialty "whisky", we prefer to call it Irish coffee! After the flight resumed, Stan said goodbye to the bartender and returned to San Francisco, where he shared his experience at the Irish airport with the owner of Buena Vista Caf é, a frequented cafe, hoping that the owner of the caf é would reproduce the cup of coffee he drank at the airport.
As a result, to live up to his expectations, the owner of the cafe successfully reproduced Irish coffee. After the launch of Irish coffee in this shop, it is deeply loved by the majority of Americans. it can be said that most Americans' understanding of Irish coffee is brought up by this cafe, and this shop has become one of the famous tourist destinations in the United States. Until now, Irish coffee has its own cups, alcohol lamp holders, and exclusive competitions. In the internationally renowned coffee and spirits competition, Irish coffee is the highlight of the competition, and the finalists have to make two cups of Irish coffee and two other free creative drinks, so we can see how important Irish coffee is!
How do you make Irish coffee? The main reason why Irish coffee has become the highlight of the competition is to test the contestants' understanding of whisky and coffee, because whisky and coffee have many kinds, and when different kinds and different flavors are intertwined, completely different Irish coffee can be born.
Then let's move on to the production of Irish coffee. This time we share a safer way to remove the alcohol lamp. Preparation items: one cup (about 200ml), whiskey (30ml), hot black coffee (140ml), arbitrary syrup (10ml), cream (any). It is worth mentioning that there is no limit to the coffee it can be used as a raw material, as long as it is black (hand coffee, espresso, mocha pot is fine).
First, black coffee is made: espresso can be made with 18g powder and take 30 seconds to extract the liquid from 36ml, then add 65 °C hot water to 100ml and stir well. Hand coffee is made with 15g beans and then brewed with a powder-to-water ratio of 1:10.
When finished, pour syrup and whiskey into the cup first.
Then pour in hand-brewed coffee, or espresso and hot water (total 140ml).
Finally, the top is capped with cream and it is done!
A mouthful, like the general feeling of Dirty, hot and cold stratification. In the absence of mixing, with the increase of drinking times, the taste and taste will change, the level is very rich! Moreover, as long as you use different beans to extract coffee, the Irish coffee you drink will be completely different! Qualified friends can try all kinds of collocation at home, but friends who don't know how to drink still need to drink carefully.
