Asia is the largest continent in the world, with ups and downs, mainly mountains, plateaus and hills, and Asia spans cold, warm and hot zones, with complex and diverse climate types, so there are many coffee producing countries in Asia, such as Vietnam, Indonesia, China and so on. Indonesia has also become the fourth largest coffee producer in the world.

As early as the 17th century, when Indonesia was a Dutch colony, the Dutch government introduced the first coffee trees, but they were destroyed in a flood until the seedlings of the second generation succeeded in bearing fruit and thrived here. By the early 18th century, the Dutch East India Company began to export coffee from Indonesia to Europe. Since then, Indonesia has exported thousands of pounds of coffee each year.

At that time, almost all Arabica varieties were grown in Indonesia, but in the 1860s, coffee leaf rust broke out and destroyed most Indonesian coffee trees. Indonesian farmers chose to plant the more disease-resistant robusta varieties instead of Arabica varieties. today, Robusta accounts for 85% of Indonesia's total coffee production, while Arabica accounts for 15%.

Indonesia is now the fourth largest coffee producer in the world, and such a high production is due to the country's rich natural resources. Indonesia is the world's largest archipelago country, composed of 17508 islands and full of volcanoes, with more than 500 volcanoes, numerous rivers, lakes and forests, and forest cover of 67.8%.

And Indonesia has a tropical rain forest climate across the equator, with a warm and humid climate throughout the year, with an average temperature of 25 ℃-27 ℃ degrees. It is divided into dry and wet seasons because of the monsoon. With fertile soil given by volcanoes, rich in water resources and a warm and humid climate, it is an ideal area for growing coffee.

At present, coffee trees are planted in many islands in Indonesia, and coffee producing areas are also divided into islands, such as Sulawesi, Bail, Java and Sumatra.

Among them, the most famous is Sumatra, which is also the largest island in the country, known as "Manning". Qianjie Coffee has a wet planed Lindong Manning coffee, as an entry selection representative, the entrance will have herbal, dark chocolate flavor, caramel mellow taste, high sweetness. But in fact, other islands also produce high-quality coffee beans, such as Sulawesi.

Sulawesi, formerly known as Celebes, is a large island in central Indonesia and the 11th largest island in the world. The island has a unique shape, similar to a capital "K" in English, while the island is mostly high mountains and deep valleys, less plains, and is the island with the largest proportion of mountains in Indonesia. The central part of the island has a plateau 2000 meters above sea level, and there are more than 10 volcanoes in the north. In addition, there are many canyons, waterfalls and lakes, which are rich in hydraulic resources.

Sulawesi Island is located in the equatorial tropical rain forest climate zone, sufficient rainfall, annual rainfall of more than 2500 mm, and affected by the topography, the mountain climate is cool and pleasant. On the island of Sulawesi, it is divided into six provinces: East, South, West, North, Central Sulawesi and Columdalo. Coffee is mainly grown in the southern province of South Sulawesi, mainly in Tana Toraja and the southern city of Kalosi, which is 1100-1800 meters above sea level.

In Sulawesi, it is famous for the name "Toraja Toraja", which is the name of a local people who are good at growing coffee in the Tana Toraja mountains of central Sulawesi, and now it is also the name of boutique coffee beans in Sulawesi. Coffee is grown on a rugged hillside about 1200 meters above sea level, and it is difficult to grow and harvest, so the annual output is about 1000 metric tons, but it is famous for its bright acidity, distinct layers, strong caramel sweetness and floral aroma.
