Coffee harvest farmers get rich in Nanping Town, Pu'er Simao District

"My family has planted more than 30 mu of coffee. This year, there are about 10 tons of fresh coffee. At present, the purchase of fresh fruit per kilogram has reached 4.3 yuan. It is estimated that the income this year will be more than 60,000 yuan." Hu Chengping, a villager of Shaba River Village Group in Dakaihe Village, Nanping Town, Simao District, happily told reporters.

According to Hua Honglin, secretary of the party branch of Dakaihe Village, there are 239 households with more than 800 people in the village. Since coffee planting began in 1998, there have been more than 10,000 mu of coffee land, with an average of more than 6 mu per person. In recent years, villagers have lived a red life by planting coffee, and the annual per capita net income has reached more than 10,000 yuan.
