In response to Earth Day, Starbucks thanks you with coffee

From 9 a.m. to 12:00 that day, Starbucks will launch a cup in the Chinese mainland area and thank you for your activities with coffee. Starbucks will reward customers who bring their own cup or mug with a cup of freshly brewed drip coffee in return for their environmental protection actions. This is the second year in a row that Starbucks China has opened in response to Earth Day.

April and 22nd of 2015 is the 46th Earth Day. From 9 a.m. to 12:00 that day, Starbucks will launch a "Thank you with Coffee" campaign in the Chinese mainland area. Starbucks will reward customers with their own cup or mug with a cup of freshly brewed drip coffee in return for their environmental protection actions.

This is the second year in a row that Starbucks China has launched an environmental protection campaign in response to Earth Day. Starbucks gives back to customers by giving away free drip coffee to encourage them to bring their own cups to participate in environmental protection. This is also one of the theme activities of Starbucks Earth month this year. During the 2014 event, Starbucks stores across China delivered more than 65000 cups of fresh filtered coffee, which was widely welcomed and supported by customers.

World Earth Day is a global environmental protection movement, in which hundreds of millions of people participate and contribute to the protection and improvement of the earth's environment. Earlier, Weibo China began to call on partners and customers to love the earth together through its website, Starbucks and Wechat, as well as store promotion. As of April 19, more than 400000 netizens have responded positively to the environmental call to love the earth with "I support" through the Starbucks "make a Cup" campaign page.

Environmental protection is one of the important contents of Starbucks corporate social responsibility. Around the world, Starbucks saves tens of millions of paper cups each year by encouraging customers to bring their own cups of coffee. In 2014, 47.6 million customers brought their own cups. In China, Starbucks has also been actively promoting the "green discount" program: every customer who uses a bring cup to buy a Starbucks handmade drink can enjoy a discount of 2 yuan, so as to encourage customers to develop the environmental habit of drinking coffee with their own cup.
