Coffee bean varieties analysis
The varieties of coffee beans vary with different regions of origin, such as Yunnan coffee beans, Vietnam coffee beans, Brazil coffee beans and so on. As far as I know, more than 80% of the coffee in the domestic market comes from Robota beans from Vietnam and Indonesia. These beans will not be marked varieties or origin on the shelf, generally used for instant coffee. What the author would like to share here is that there are mainly two kinds of coffee trees planted in the coffee industry.
Arabica species and Robusta species, Arabica species have a good flavor, most of the individual coffee beans sold on the market belong to this variety, such as Brazilian coffee, Blue Mountain coffee and so on. Arabica is generally small in shape and small in tree shape, so it is suitable for planting at high altitude and is not resistant to diseases and insect pests. There are many subspecies of Arabica, such as Iron pickup, Bobang, Katim and so on. It is widely planted in Yunnan, China.
Robusta is tall, resistant to diseases and insect pests and easy to plant. However, the composition of it is quite different from that of Arabica species, followed by taste, and is generally not drunk alone. Robusta is cheap, rich in caffeine and oil, and is mostly used to produce instant coffee, and a small amount of robusta is often added to espresso beans to increase the thickness and durability of the grease layer.
Coffee bean varieties, to sum up, the author simply shared the two major coffee varieties, Araka species and Robusta species, I hope you have a better understanding of these two kinds of coffee trees.
