Drinking coffee combined with regular exercise can destroy cells damaged by ultraviolet rays in the sun and prevent skin cancer, according to an experimental report published on Monday.

Researchers at Rutgers University (Rutgers) in New Jersey say laboratory studies on mice have found that this method of coffee combined with exercise can produce four times the magic effect on apoptosis (Apoptosis) of precancerous cells (Precancerous cell). Apoptosis refers to the spontaneous death of cells.

The research report was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences on the 31st.

Researchers at Rutgers University compared two groups of hairless mice. One group drank caffeine equivalent to one or two cups of coffee a day, and they also stepped on the wheel to do exercise, while the control group did not drink coffee at all. Or no exercise.

The experiment found that apoptosis increased by 95% in coffee-only mice, 120% in exercise-only mice, and almost 400% in coffee-drinking and exercise-only mice.

"Ultraviolet-induced apoptotic cells (apoptotic cells) vary greatly among groups," said Connie, one of the authors of the study. This type of apoptotic cells are abnormal cells that can lead to skin cancer.

Skin cancer caused by sunlight is very common in the United States, with more than 1 million new cases a year, according to the National Cancer Institute.
