After McDonald's, on the 16th, Wallace, the largest local fast food restaurant in Fuzhou, also began to upgrade its restaurant and enter the coffee market, and its two stores in the urban area launched coffee products after renovation. It is said that Wallace's entry into the coffee market is currently only a pilot project, and other conditions are ripe and will be promoted to more stores.

The reporter learned that Wallace is not the only fast food restaurant to enter the coffee market. Just over a month ago, McDonald's Fuzhou market announced the opening of McCoffee. So far, McDonald's has launched this business in many stores in Fuzhou. According to reports, 80% of McDonald's stores will add similar "cafes" in the future.

As a matter of fact, apart from fast food restaurants, many people will notice that in the past two years, more and more bakeries in Fuzhou no longer simply sell bread, but have added a lot of coffee products, and like restaurants, they have added leisure tables and chairs for consumers to eat in. For example, two years ago, there are more than 10 branches in Fuzhou, and there are also several Bread Xinyu in Fuzhou.

Entering the coffee market, all enterprises say that it is to adapt to the new market demand. In an interview with reporters, many enterprises said that entering the coffee market is optimistic about this growing market cake. Wallace official said that coffee used to represent the "petty bourgeoisie sentiment", but now it is obviously different, and young consumers have generally accepted it, so Starbucks is very popular as soon as it enters Fuzhou. McDonald's said that 20 years ago, the generation of core consumers who had just entered China had grown up, and now the core customer base is 18-28-year-olds who may no longer like soda and will prefer coffee instead.

A person from the Fujian Coffee Industry Association said on the 16th that there are hundreds of coffee shops in the streets of Fuzhou, the coffee consumption market in Fuzhou is also getting bigger and bigger, and the monthly consumption of coffee beans has already exceeded 2 tons, with an annual growth rate of about 25%. If converted into cups, Fuzhou currently consumes more than 140000 cups of coffee a month. (Fuzhou Evening News reporter Xie Tongling)
