The coffee cup printed with coffee is the real coffee cup!
As FDM 3D printers begin to enter the daily lives of ordinary people, the 3D printing wires used by FDM printers are also varied. Not long ago, 3Dom just launched a new glass PLA wire. Now, the lively 3D printing wire manufacturer has partnered with another manufacturer, c2renew, to launch a rather interesting coffee 3D printing PLA wire-Wound Up.
The brown wire in the video is Wound Up. It is made from coffee waste, that is, when people dispose of coffee beans, the unwanted parts are mixed with PLA. As a result, objects printed in 3D have obvious natural particles in appearance, and the printed material made from coffee waste has a very beautiful brown color.

The first composite production line developed by 3Dom USA is based on c2renew's bio-based review printing consumables and is scheduled to be available soon. This material has many advantages, not only low price, but also a good renewable biomaterial.

The Wound Up currently has only one color brown and is suitable for all 3D printers that can use PLA cables, such as MakerBot, LulzBot, FlashForge and others. If you want to try it, you can order it through 3Dom's website. It sells for $49 a roll and is currently available in diameter 1.75mm and 2.85mm models.

C2renew, another co-developer of Wound Up, is an expert on biomaterials. The company is famous for using agricultural fertilizers to develop new 3D printing wires. The waste includes flax fiber, wood flour, soybeans, sunflower shells and beets, as well as discarded coffee beans.

Obviously, the Wound Up launched by the two companies is just the beginning. It is believed that it will not be long before we can see the new bio-environmentally friendly 3D printing wire brought by them.
