Noodle shops and rice noodle shops may be street snack shops that you can see everywhere in any city in China. You may count your favorite noodle restaurants in the city with your fingers, but when it comes to store design, most of the impressions are shabby and shoddy. Few people pay as much attention to the interior design of a noodle shop as decorating a western restaurant, Japanese restaurant or cafe.

Recently, on the shopping boulevard along the Xiangjiang River in Changsha, long Xiaobao, a 50-square-meter rice noodle shop, is preparing to change the vulgar impression left by a small noodle shop, which is designed by LukStudio, a design studio based in Shanghai. We have also reported their designs of Shanghai Lab Bar, Coquille French Seafood Restaurant, Baker One Bakery and Paiyue Square New Store.

Long Xiaobao's team is trying to promote the authentic Shaoyang rice noodles that have been studied for a long time to all parts of China, for which Zhi Studio designed the brand's founding store in Changsha.

On the bamboo inverted concrete facade, two steel boxes come out through the wall, the slightly higher and narrower box on the left is a quieter and low-key entrance, while the lower and wider box on the right has a scaffolding-like appearance, exposing the panoramic view of the restaurant to the view of the street view, as if welcoming diners to dinner in an open posture.

Seeing this appearance, you can't help but visit the store.

Walking into the store from the box on the left, the cement wall, the oak box and the order screen form the background wall, which coincides with the characteristics of the facade. Turning right into the dining area, the design team retained the original brick and cement structure of the wall and exposed it, creating a rugged natural atmosphere with the iron frame at the entrance. But in the layers of iron shelves, the carefully arranged wooden boxes show delicate and smooth porcelain.

The most special thing about the whole space is that the design team introduced the traditional noodle-making technology into the space design and reinterpreted the concept of noodle rack with fine steel wire. They compared the steel wire to noodles, hanging bundles of fine steel wire, which became the focus of the whole space against the warm light source of the light bulb.

And the diners happen to eat under the noodle rack created by the steel wire, adding another piece of simplicity.

It is no longer a noisy and crude noodle shop. In the words of the design team, "traditional Chinese food restaurants also have the potential to become as haunting places as coffee shops." "
