In response, Starbucks chose a different approach. They set up a coffee factory in the Empire State Building and delivered coffee to every corner of the building through Postmates's transportation service.

The takeout service, called Grenade Apron, features Starbucks moving directly into busy office buildings such as the Empire State Building. But this is not a complete Starbucks, it's just a coffee making room in the building. This coffee shop only serves the building and will not accept orders from the outside world.

Users only need to place an order through the website and fill in the location information of the coffee. After the coffee is made in the production room, the delivery service of the order will be completed by the Postmates staff, and Starbucks promises to complete the whole process within 30 minutes. Second, customers will still be able to use StarCards and cumulative points through the Internet, and will not experience a gap like other third-party purchasing agents.

In fact, before that, Starbucks had already intended to enter the field of takeout. Earlier this year, Starbucks partnered with Postmates to pilot a takeout service in Seattle.
