[new coffee technology] Intelligent thermostat cup, so that your coffee is no longer hot mouth!
Guide to Jiaxiang: I bought a cup of hot coffee with joy in the winter morning and drank it anxiously, ah! Sad, burned the tongue, the next few days the tongue can not taste. All right, don't worry, just leave it for a while until it gets cold, okay? But the outdoor temperature is low in winter, and it gets cold before a cup of coffee is finished, so I feel very unhappy. So how to avoid such an awkward situation?
Ammunition Group from California has launched a smart mug Ember, which not only allows hot coffee to reach the right temperature quickly, but also keeps the drink at the best drinking temperature for a long time, providing you with a drinking experience you've never had before.
Cooling 6 times and keeping warm for 4 hours
The insulation wall of Ember mug is made of patented phase change material, which can keep heat and cool. It can quickly reduce the temperature of liquid as high as 120 °- 145 °to a drinkable temperature, six times faster than natural cooling, without the need to blow through the mouth. At the same time, it can keep the liquid at this optimal temperature for up to 4 hours or more.
What is a disguised material? Phase change material (PCM-Phase Change Material) refers to the substance that changes the state of matter with the change of temperature and can provide latent heat (similar to candles), which will absorb or release a large amount of latent heat in the process of physical transformation.
For example, in a hot environment, it changes from a solid to a liquid, absorbing and storing heat in the process. Under cold conditions, it returns to the solid state, releases heat, and keeps the liquid in the cup at the best temperature from beginning to end. 2/3 of the Ember is made of disguised materials, and the other 1/3 are heating modules controlled by sensors and microprocessors. Users can adjust the temperature manually or remotely.
Manual and remote temperature control
Ember follows minimalism, and there are not too many buttons and dials on the black smooth cup, only the words Logo and temperature can be seen. By rotating the bottom of the cup, the user can control the temperature. It is worth mentioning that Ember's Logo is a capacitive touch switch that can be activated with a single click. In addition, the display screen used to show the temperature is so cleverly designed that you can hardly see it when it goes out (the temperature can be Fahrenheit or Celsius).
In addition to rotating the bottom of the cup to adjust the temperature, users can also remotely control via App (support for Bluetooth 4.0 Magi iOS and Anroid phones and tablets). When the drink reaches the temperature specified by the user, App will inform the user in time, and there is no need to be afraid that the first sip will burn your mouth. Users can even save temperature presets for their favorite drinks, such as 60 °for freshly brewed coffee, 57 °for lattes, 64 °for green tea, and so on. Anyway, everything depends on your own mood, switch at any time.
Charging & battery life
Ember has a built-in lithium battery, which takes 1.5 hours to be fully charged and can be kept warm for 2 hours after full charge. If the battery is dead, the disguised material in the cup will take over the baton and use its previously stored heat to keep the liquid in the cup warm for four hours. In addition, the Ember also has a matching cup holder, which is actually a wireless charging base, on which the cup can be recharged. If you keep the cup on the holder all the time, the cup will keep warm.
Purchase details
The lid of the Ember mug is leak-proof and can be opened by pressing. Support 360 °open drinking, do not have to worry about the nose touching the cup lid when drinking water. The cup body is specially designed for hand slippers and is fully ergonomic and easier to hold. Ember is suitable for coffee, milk tea, boiled water, chicken soup and other liquid, hot and cold. It would be great to use this chicken soup to visit a doctor in the hospital.
Ember is currently crowdfunding on indiegogo and has successfully raised US $158070 so far, achieving 316% of its goal. The crowd-raising price is $129 and the estimated retail price is $149. Crowdfunding will end on November 20, 2015 and is expected to be shipped in April next year.
