On the afternoon of November 22nd, with the mellow aroma of Didi coffee, the 2015WBC World Barista Competition China trial (Chongqing Division) hosted by Xin Jinlan Coffee products Co., Ltd came to a successful conclusion. Among the more than 20 contestants, Mr. Ouyangqi and Ms. Li Siying finally won the champion and runner-up in Chongqing Division. The two contestants will also represent Chongqing in the China final of the WBC World Barista Competition to be held in Shanghai next year.

The competition focuses on promoting the quality of coffee and the professional skills of baristas. Every year, barista champions from all over the world make four espresso, four cappuccino and four homemade coffee drinks in 15 minutes. The judging team is made up of WCE certified judges, who will judge the contestants in terms of drink flavor, professional skills, innovation ability and other aspects of performance. Among them, self-created coffee drinks encourage baristas to give full play to their personal creativity and use their own understanding of coffee expertise to create personalized coffee drinks.

During the three-day competition, more than 20 contestants not only played a professional level, but also brought coffee lovers and citizens in Chongqing into further contact with the process of making professional coffee. After the first two rounds of intense competition, the winning top six contestants won the final champion and runner-up, while Mr. Ouyang Qi and Ms. Li Siying finally won the champion and runner-up in Chongqing Division.
