Start a small business like a cafe or grocery in Sydney and qualify for Australian immigration under the updated 188A and 132 visa policies.

Thinking about moving to Sydney and wondering if starting your own business could help you get permanent residency in Australia? Many prospective immigrants ask whether opening a modest venture—like a local coffee shop or corner grocery—could be their pathway in. Until recently, certain sectors were off-limits for those using the popular 188A Business Innovation visa if they wanted to set up in Sydney. But a major policy shift has now changed the game.
