World Coffee Events (WCE) is a pioneer in the world coffee industry. Its mission is to promote specialty coffee and specialty coffee-based activities. The organization was founded by the European Specialty Coffee Association (SCAE) and the American Specialty Coffee Association (SCAA). Through more than ten years of experience and successful accumulation, Shanghai Bohua International Exhibition Co., Ltd. successfully bid for four international competitions in 2016. At that time, more than 200 champions from 62 member countries around the world will gather in Shencheng, which is also the first time in history that China has hosted the finals of the World Coffee Competition.
The World Finals of various coffee competitions are held in different places and cities around the world every year. They were first concentrated in Europe and North America. Now, with the promotion of coffee culture and the rapid development of Asia, everyone gradually turns their attention to here-Shanghai! In 2016, coffee champions from all over the world will come to China for the first time, and for many national champions, this is likely to be their first visit to China. As the organizer of the Expo, we hope not only to give them a full experience of Chinese traditional culture, but also to provide high-quality reception services to make them leave a deep, beautiful and unforgettable impression on China, Shanghai and HOTELEX.
At the same time, the event includes the "Time Travel Official Post-Games Party" hosted by HOTELEX Shanghai and sponsored by CMA Astoria and Dazheng Group and Shanghai Weiming Food, which is scheduled to ignite the Zendai Himalayan Wuji Stadium at 20 pm on April 1.
Overview of WCE's four international competitions
World Flower Drawing Art Competition:
Organized by the organizing committee of the World Coffee Competition, the World Coffee Art Competition is the highest level professional competition of coffee flower art. Classic milk and espresso are presented at the top of the barista's creations, with emphasis on execution, substitution and creativity. The World Pulling Art Competition and Experience Bar will use custom ceramic mugs from Weiquan Milk and Lovermatics, while the competition will use Italian CMA Astoria Plus4YouTS espresso machines and bar appliances from Dazheng Group Yami brand. The audience will also witness the unparalleled art creation of more than 30 flower champions from various member states at the flower bar.
World Coffee and Spirits Competition:
The World Coffee & Spirits Competition offers innovative drink recipes that showcase the collision of coffee and spirits. From traditional Irish coffee to unique coffee cocktails, the event focuses on showcasing the barista's magnificent skills in blending spirits with coffee. Another highlight of this year's World Coffee & Spirits Competition, in light of the success of the pull bar, is the new spirits bar, thanks to the Skyy Natural vodka, Bankes London Dry Gin, Kavalan Whisky, Grand Marnier Orange, Monin Syrup, Teisseir Syrup from ingredient sponsor King Paris. This will give viewers the chance to experience the signature coffee cocktails made by the national champions.
World Coffee Roasting Competition:
In this three-stage competition, the judges will judge the contestants according to their performance in the following three aspects. Green bean evaluation, submission of a roasting schedule to emphasize the flavor characteristics of the roasted coffee, and final cup test results. This year's World Coffee Roasting Competition will be sponsored by Proaster. Giesen will act as a product baking equipment partner. Stronghold will provide baked sample beans along with Proaster. Spectators will have the opportunity to sample freshly brewed coffee brewed by BUNN equipment.
World Coffee Cup Test Contest:
The aim of the World Coffee Cup is to present the different characteristics and flavors of coffee through a competitive model. Three cups of coffee will be placed in a triangular pattern, and contestants will need to quickly determine which cup of coffee is different by smell, taste, touch on the tip of the tongue and related experience. Marco will be sponsoring this year's brew bar, which will offer HOTELEX's live audience nearly a dozen fine roasted coffees and three different coffee brewing methods.
The mission of the World Coffee Organising Committee is to develop events that are closely linked to fine coffee organisations and enhance the coffee experience. The World Coffee Games Organizing Committee was established in 2011 by European and American specialty coffee associations. Teams from 62 member countries, as well as world-class judges from more than 30 countries around the world, will gather at HOTELEX Shanghai.

World Coffee Culture French Coffee Culture Romantic Cafe
I have heard that France once drank less coffee because of a shortage of coffee, and immediately saw more people taking a nap. It may seem like an exaggeration, but it is true that the French are addicted to coffee. When the Gulf War broke out in 1991, France was also one of the countries participating in the war. some ordinary people in China worried that the war would affect the supply of daily necessities and rushed to supermarkets to buy them. Even the TV station was alarmed when the camera was in front of it.
