AA Car & Starbucks: Coffee-to-Car Service at Beijing South Station

Travelers arriving at Beijing South Station often face long taxi lines—sometimes waiting over 40 minutes—or turn to expensive, unsafe black cars just to get to their next destination. This common frustration highlights a gap in convenient, reliable urban transport, especially for tired business travelers navigating unfamiliar cities.

The solution? With a simple coffee purchase, you can have a professional driver from AA Car pick you up in as little as 15 minutes—at select Starbucks locations near the station.

How AA Car & Starbucks Make Transit Seamless

AA Car, a mobile-based business ride service, now partners with Starbucks at Beijing South Station to offer a ‘coffee-to-car’ experience. After buying a coffee, customers receive an AA Car discount coupon. Once you’re ready to leave, simply book a ride through the AA Car app. You don’t need to enter a destination—just select your preferred vehicle type. The system matches you with the nearest available car, and your driver will typically arrive at the Starbucks location within 15 minutes.

Flexible Ride Options and Pricing

AA Car provides various vehicle options, including economy models starting at just 15 RMB, with pricing based on actual usage time. This pay-per-minute model breaks from traditional rental structures, offering affordability without compromising on service quality. All rides come with a standardized, high-level service experience regardless of vehicle class.

Bonuses for Starbucks Customers

All customers who buy a coffee at six designated Starbucks stores at Beijing South Station receive AA Car coupons. New users get an 88 RMB coupon on the day of purchase, while returning customers earn 20 RMB per coffee. Starbucks members who spend 99 RMB or more at Store Five or Six can also enter a lucky draw to win a chance to use a Tesla for free, courtesy of AA Car.

Reserve Ahead or Enjoy a Coffee Break

AA Car also supports advance reservations up to one hour before your pickup. If you’d rather relax before your ride, you can order a coffee and wait inside the café. Drivers will wait up to 15 minutes at no extra cost. Travelers in a rush can even request their driver to buy and prepare a coffee for them—so it’s ready to drink once you’re in the car.

Why This Partnership Matters

Starbucks is known for creating a ‘third place’ between home and work—a comfortable, familiar space. AA Car, meanwhile, emphasizes user-first service to deliver a reliable travel experience. Together, they provide a seamless, high-quality mobility solution that reduces wait times and elevates the standard of urban transit. This collaboration aims to shift Beijing South Station from merely a transportation hub to a gateway for premium travel experiences.

According to AA Car insiders, this cross-industry partnership will expand to more cities and scenarios as the program develops, bringing similar premium services to other busy transit points.
