Hougu Coffee: the most complete Coffee Industry chain in Yunnan
Among the coffee planting areas in Yunnan Province, Dehong Prefecture is not the largest in area, but Hougu Coffee cultivated in Dehong Prefecture is the most complete in industrial chain.
The planting bases of Hougu are mainly Dehong Prefecture and Lincang City. At present, there are more than 200,000 mu developed and planted. Hougu Coffee adopts the mode of "company + base + cooperative" to develop coffee planting. First, the idle land of farmers is transferred to enterprises. The right to use the land and the products produced and operated belong to enterprises. The company plants according to unified standards and contracts to farmers. In this way, farmers can get three incomes: one is land circulation fund, the other is labor cost for farmers to participate in coffee cultivation, and the third is income from contracted coffee management. At present, this model has been vigorously promoted in Dehong Prefecture.
In addition, in 2007 Dehong Hougu Coffee Co., Ltd. embarked on the road of deep processing development and began to build 3000 tons of instant powder production line. In August 2008, the production line was completed and put into operation, and the quality of Hougu coffee instant products reached relevant international standards, achieving sales revenue of 240 million yuan in that year. The 10000-ton instant coffee production line put into trial operation in June 2011 produced two high-end products, freeze-dried powder and condensed aroma powder. By then, the annual output had reached 13000 tons and the output value was 900 million yuan. At present, the annual output of instant pure powder in China is about 16,000 tons, and Hougu coffee accounts for 13,000 tons, and freeze-dried powder and agglomerated granulation powder belong to high-end products. Only Hougu has this production capacity in China.
While speeding up the construction of raw material base and extending the industrial chain, Hougu Coffee actively explores domestic and foreign markets, devotes itself to strengthening China's coffee industry, and formulates and implements three development strategies: one is to expand the coffee raw material planting base to realize the net income of coffee farmers of RMB 1 billion Yuan; Second, accelerate the development of coffee deep processing products and realize the goal of coffee powder export of RMB 10 billion Yuan; Third, implement brand strategy to realize domestic coffee sales exceeding RMB 100 billion Yuan.
A complete industrial chain guarantees the vitality of the coffee industry in the state. According to Hu Lu, deputy secretary-general of Yunnan Province Coffee Industry Association, Hougu Coffee was born in Dehong and grew up in Dehong mainly based on five factors: one is that the enterprise development strategy is consistent with Dehong Prefecture Party Committee and State Government, which is the basic soil; the second is that the interests of the enterprise are consistent with those of the farmers; the third enterprise has strong brand awareness and national responsibility; Fourthly, the leading enterprises have the strength of integration. In the development of coffee industry in Yunnan Province, no state or city takes the lead in guiding and integrating the whole process, which is related to Hougu's emphasis on the extension of industrial chain and the background of scientific and technological research and development. In addition to the above four factors, Hougu Coffee was born in Dehong and grew up in Dehong.
