Costa Rican Coffee Cooperative visits General Agency of supply and Marketing Cooperation
On August 28, 2014, the chairman of the Costa Rican Victoria Cooperative and his party, accompanied by the Costa Rican Commercial Counsellor in China, visited the head Office of supply and Marketing Cooperation and held talks with the International Cooperation Department of the Agency on opening up the Chinese coffee market.
The Costa Rican Victorian Cooperative (COOP VICTORIA), founded in October 1943, is the first cooperative in the country. The cooperative is located in the mountains of northwest Costa Rica and has more than 3000 members. The cooperative's farm is mainly located on a hillside about 1000 meters above sea level, has superior physical and geographical conditions, and is rich in high-quality coffee beans and sugar.
The cooperative produces high-quality Arabica coffee beans and has long been a high-quality coffee bean supplier to Starbucks and other international coffee companies.
