Congo Coffee, the largest coffee exporter of PNG, gets a loan of 10 million.
The IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, will work with PNG South Pacific Bank to set up a risk-taking mechanism to ensure that South Pacific Bank will provide a loan of 10 million Gina to Congo Coffee, the largest coffee exporter in PNG.
On July 2, the National newspaper of Papua New Guinea reported that the International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group, will work with the PNG South Pacific Bank to establish a risk-taking mechanism. to guarantee that the South Pacific Bank will provide a loan of 10 million Kina to Congo Coffee, the largest coffee exporter in Papua New Guinea.
The financing plan will help Congolese coffee companies buy more coffee from PNG farmers to meet market demand and create more jobs for PNG. The company mainly buys large quantities of coffee from Chimbu province in the south of Papua New Guinea, where about 100, 000 farmers make a living by growing coffee.
