Coffee is about to enter the universe.
The International Space Station will usher in its first coffee machine, the ISSpresso. Coffee will be placed in sealed plastic bags and astronauts will need straws to drink.

The International Space Station will usher in its first coffee machine in November, Russia's RT television reported on June 16. At that time, astronauts will be able to enjoy pure espresso as they did on Earth.
Can make coffee, tea and soup
It is reported that the coffee machine is jointly developed by Italian Space Agency and Italian coffee company Argotec and is named ISSpresso. The coffee machine, which weighs 44 pounds, will arrive at the International Space Station in November with Samantha Christopher, the first Italian female astronaut. At that time, the female astronaut will become the first person to taste coffee 400 kilometers above the earth.
ISSpresso is a modified coffee machine that can brew coffee in zero gravity. General coffee machines use plastic hoses, while space coffee machines use steel pipes that can withstand high pressure to avoid liquid outflow.
Instead of grinding its own coffee beans, ISSpresso uses different capsules to make espresso and tea, soups and other coffee drinks, and can restore dehydrated foods at the space station.
Put it in a sealed bag and drink it with a straw
Although astronauts will be able to taste pure coffee on the space station, the way they drink coffee will be slightly different from that on the ground. It is reported that coffee will be placed in sealed plastic bags and astronauts will need straws to drink. Because under zero gravity, coffee doesn't stay in the cup.
