The barista contest was launched in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province.
The World siphon Pot Coffee Competition and the second Suzhou Youth barista Professional Competition are jointly sponsored by Suzhou Private Education Service Center and Suzhou Coffee and Western Food Industry Chamber of Commerce. One of the biggest highlights of this competition is the combination of "public welfare aid", allowing many participating units and entrepreneurs to give their love and donate in different ways to help the children of migrant workers. For nearly 100 private schools in the city, the money raised in the competition will be donated free to Suzhou Private Education Service Center, which will be allocated according to the actual situation of migrant children's schools.
It is reported that since the competition was held, "with high standards, strong professional, strict standards of the competition requirements have been the attention and participation of the coffee industry at home and abroad, for the extensive promotion of vocational coffee skills education and cooperate with the on-site handicraft products bazaar and on-site DIY coffee series parent-child activities to promote public donation and love." The formation of "competition theme activities, national hands-on experience, tasting activities, coffee tours, public welfare students" and other five parts of the linkage. The competition is divided into three stages: audition, rematch and final. the finals will be held at Tianhong Department Store in Suzhou Industrial Park on October 31 and November 1, 2015. And held a charity donation activity on November 1.
Zhang Kewei, director of Suzhou Private Education and Social Education Department, said at the press conference that special accounts will be set up to manage and coordinate the distribution of funds and items raised during this barista contest, and 100 percent of charity money and goods will be distributed to poor students.
According to Zheng Xia, president of Suzhou Coffee and Western Food Industry Chamber of Commerce, although coffee has a history of only more than 100 years in China, it now has the largest consumer market in the world. In recent years, China's coffee consumption has been between 30,000 and 40,000 tons, maintaining an annual market growth rate of 10% and 15%. Experts predict that China's coffee market will reach 1 trillion yuan in the next decade and 2-3 trillion yuan in 2030, making it the most important coffee producer and consumer in the world. It is against this background that the 2015 World siphon Pot Coffee Competition and the second Suzhou Youth Barista Professional Competition were held.
In addition, the China Guanghua Science and Technology Foundation donated 30,000 yuan worth of cultural supplies to the organizing committee of the competition for private education.
