The winner of the Pacific Coffee 2016 barista contest
With the rich coffee flavor of Didi, the Pacific Coffee Barista Competition kicked off in Shenzhen Vientiane City, and 22 contestants from nearly 500 Pacific Coffee stores worldwide participated in the competition. Huang Guanfeng from South China won the championship, Ma Di from Northern Region and Liu Xingjian from West China Region won the second and third place respectively.
As an annual coffee competition, Pacific Coffee Barista Competition came to Shenzhen for the first time. Its process and rules were carried out according to the requirements of World Barista Competition (WBC). The finalists came from mainland China and Hong Kong. Facing world-class professional judges, they skillfully ground beans and extracted coffee, confidently showing their enthusiasm and professionalism for coffee. This competition was held in the open area of Shenzhen Vientiane City, which showed the internal competition of enterprises more directly to the public. In order to let everyone experience the wonderful art of pulling flowers, after each game, the audience is invited to randomly select heart-shaped, leaves, tulips, swans and even more difficult swan lake and rose latte graphics, which are performed and produced by the barista on the spot, attracting many coffee professionals and enthusiasts to watch the game, and there are also many public friends to stop and watch.
It is understood that in the reserve of barista talents, Pacific Coffee always requires team training and assessment with strict standards. So far, Pacific Coffee has a group of baristas with excellent skills and stable levels.
