Coffee mixed with drugs to induce addiction
The Chaozhou Police Bureau in Pingtung County seized a drug case in which the suspect was carrying multiple packets of instant coffee mixed with drugs. Police said that many nightclubs have drug coffee to lure others to become addicted.
Chaozhou police said today that when they were on duty yesterday, they found a 28-year-old man surnamed Wu suspicious. After cross-examination, he was found to have ecstasy, ketamine and 11 packets of three-in-one coffee mixed with ketamine.
Wu Chai confessed that drug coffee was bought in a Kaohsiung ballroom, because a friend introduced him that he felt very High after drinking it, and that he could evade police investigation by packing drugs with coffee, so he bought it again.
Zhang Cihui, director of the Chaozhou branch, said that in recent years, lawbreakers often sell drug coffee in nightclubs to tempt others to drink addiction, and appeal to young people to attend parties or go to nightclubs, and never drink drinks from unknown sources.
