22-year follow-up study shows coffee not only anti-aging but also anti-cancer

Researchers at the French Institute of Health and Medicine recently reported in the British journal Scientific Reports that they gave caffeine-like substances to aging mice and found that their memory and stress levels returned to normal. Stress hormones build up in the brain as we age, affecting memory, researchers say. Caffeine slows the aging process by blocking and protecting receptors associated with aging and stress. A recent article published in the International Journal of Cancer wrote that researchers followed about 100,000 Japanese people for 22 years to try to find out whether green tea, coffee and brain cancer are related. Results show no link between green tea and brain tumors, but coffee may reduce the risk of brain tumors
