All of a sudden,"Nanlai Sheng" rose to fame in Kunming and became a fashionable place for the general public to taste coffee.
Even during the War of Resistance Against Japan, Nanlaisheng was bustling despite the hardships of people's livelihood in Kunming's rear area. Shen Congwen of Southwest United University invited Hu Shi to drink coffee here, and Chen Jiageng, the leader of overseas Chinese, also came. However, you may not have noticed a Vietnamese baker who was often absent from the shop. He was Ho Chi Minh, the leader of Vietnam.
Ho Chi Minh came to Kunming in 1940 to do underground work and led the Vietnamese people's revolution in an open capacity as a baker. Until now, the identity of Nguyen Min Xuan, the boss of Nam Lai Sheng, is still a mystery to us, and the person she protected for the future of the motherland has finally become the hope of the Vietnamese people.
In 1956, Nanlai Sheng was public-private partnership, even in the later crazy years, Nanlai Sheng "bourgeois flavor" coffee is still fragrant in Kunming. Later,"serving the workers, peasants and soldiers", Nanlai Sheng added Kunming rice noodles, as well as a kind of Vietnamese fried noodles. The slightly cooked noodles were fried and fragrant, and a spoonful of cover juice made of shredded meat and mushrooms was poured. The fragrance could be smelled far away.
Until the 1990s, Kunming city transformation, Nanlai Sheng moved a few places, disappeared. Later, we learned that Nanlai Sheng was the first Kunming restaurant recommended by the magazine in the World Travel Magazine abroad.
President Ho Chi Minh's prestige among the Vietnamese people has not diminished to this day. The neighboring province of Guangxi has designated the place where he lived and worked as an object of protection, attracting Vietnamese people to visit China.
