According to foreign media reports, Starbucks will allow users to complete coffee purchases through voice commands on its iOS app, and the digital assistant My Starbucks Barisa (my Starbucks barista) will be able to accept oral coffee orders and confirm payment, and then schedule the orders to the Starbucks store near the user.

It is understood that the virtual barista uses "groundbreaking artificial intelligence" and is able to receive voice and text commands. It can simultaneously handle multiple items in the user's voice, including the price of individual items and the final total amount, and so on.

When iOS users use the app, it will further inquire about some orders, such as large and small cups and so on. More complex order commands need to be explained separately.

Starbucks said last month that it was developing a virtual barista for its iOS app. At first, Starbucks tested only 1000 customers in the United States, and the rest may "meet" the virtual barista this summer, while Android users will have to wait a little longer.

It is worth mentioning that Starbucks' iOS app is not the only way to allow users to buy coffee via voice. Amazon's Alexa also supports voice ordering.
