Pu'er Coffee won the top 10 agricultural regional brands in China.
The results of national well-known brand establishment demonstration zone construction and 2016 regional brand value evaluation were released in Beijing a few days ago. Pu'er coffee entered the 2016 regional brand value top 100 list, the only coffee selected, and won the seventh of the top 10 agricultural regional brand values with 11.136 billion yuan.
The cultivation of coffee in Pu'er City began at the end of the 19th century and began its industrialization in 1988. At present, the planting area of coffee in the city has reached 767000 mu, with an output of 471800 mu, with an output of 49500 tons and a total output value of 1.7 billion yuan. Pu'er coffee has been exported to more than 30 countries and regions, including America, Europe and Asia, and the industry has benefited 251,500 people from more than 75,000 households in 83 villages and towns in 10 counties. In December 2012, Pu'er City was awarded the honorary title of "Coffee Capital of China" by China Fruit Circulation Association; in 2013, "Pu'er Coffee" and "Simao Coffee" were registered as geographical indication certification trademarks of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, and obtained the registration certificate of geographical indications of agricultural products of the Ministry of Agriculture of China. In July 2014, Yunnan Coffee Trading Center settled in Pu'er. In the same year, Pu'er was approved by the General Administration of quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine to build a demonstration zone for building well-known brands in the national coffee industry. Pu'er has become the main coffee producing area and coffee trading center with the largest planting area, the highest yield and the best quality in the country. Coffee industry plays an important role in Pu'er as an important supporting industry for the development of plateau characteristic agriculture and the construction of national green economy test and demonstration zone. It is estimated that by 2020, Pu'er will stabilize the coffee planting area at 1 million mu, coffee output will be 100000 tons, and the total output value of coffee will reach 10 billion yuan. By building the regional brand of Pu'er coffee, we can promote the development of Pu'er coffee industry on the road of characteristics, scale, industrialization, brand and internationalization. to achieve the goal of building Pu'er into a world high-quality coffee bean raw material base, China's largest coffee finishing base and coffee logistics center.
It is reported that a total of seven brands from Yunnan Province have been selected into the 2016 regional brand value top 100 list, among which: Stone Forest entered the top 10 in service industry, Pu'er coffee and Longling Dendrobium entered the top 10 in agricultural region, and Stone Forest, Longling Dendrobium and Changning black tea also entered the top 30 most potential regional brands.
