Boutique coffee evaluation 29-year-old youth farmers won the championship

In order to guide farmers in the production of high-quality coffee, the Tainan Municipal Government has held the "Tainan Fine Coffee Evaluation" for five consecutive years. This year, 26 kinds of raw beans planted in Dongshan District participated in the competition. The evaluation results were announced on the 13th. Lin Junji, a 29-year-old farmer, won the championship. He and 24-year-old Guo Bochen won a total of four awards in the top 10, which can be said to be a hero.

Farmers who sign up for the evaluation can choose one kind of cultivated coffee beans and hand in the raw beans in three ways: sun exposure, water washing and honey treatment. the evaluation team is composed of five cup testers certified by the Coffee quality Institute (CQI) and evaluated in accordance with international rules.

Lin Junji entered the competition as "Huang bourbon". All three treatments entered the top 10 and won the championship by washing Huang bourbon, while Guo Bochen was also selected for two prizes. the two are young farmers under the age of 30, both working on the famous coffee ecological farm in Dongshan.

Kuo Po-Chen is the second generation of the "big hoe flower room" coffee ecological farm. he has grown coffee with his father since childhood. Lin Chun-ji is actually his brother-in-law. After marriage, he likes the mountain environment and also puts into coffee cultivation, because he is of the same age and has a tacit understanding. He got good results when he first came out to participate in the competition, and both were very happy.

At the presentation meeting of the evaluation results yesterday, the Agriculture Bureau invited the siphon coffee expert Jian Jiacheng to brew this year's champion coffee in order to control the heat, temperature and soaking time, showing various levels of taste. A cup of coffee can taste the flavor of fruit, longan honey and Gaoshan tea, which is amazing.
