Taiwan is full of chain coffee shops, and many office workers are accustomed to drinking a cup of coffee every day to refresh themselves. Besides tea, drinking coffee has become an important beverage in the daily life of the people. The tourism department of Jianguo University of Science and Technology has opened a coffee preparation course. Students not only have to learn how to brew coffee, but also how to choose beans. The use and maintenance of coffee equipment are eagerly pursued by students. Professor Yuan Wenxiang, who teaches this course, says that learning coffee preparation is equivalent to learning another major. In the future, there will be one more competitiveness in the workplace.

Taiwan Coffee Association statistics, China's annual coffee consumption amount of 13.5 billion yuan, the whole Taiwan coffee population reached 5.4 million people, Jianguo University optimistic about the coffee market, in recent years in the school set up a professional bar, buy Italian coffee machine, siphon pot, hand-brewed coffee equipment and so on should be complete, tourism students in the drinking class, coffee-related courses increased the proportion of students after graduation into the coffee field.

Yuan Wenxiang, an assistant professor with a license from City & Guilds 'International Coffee Blenders in the United Kingdom, guides students' coffee skills. He said that more than 30 years ago, coffee equipment was not easy to obtain, and Italian coffee was not popular until chain Starbucks and super coffee spread all over the market. Latte, cappuccino and coffee drinks with various flavors set off a wave. With modern people paying attention to diet,"returning to nature" wants to eat original food. Single-serve coffee brewed in siphon pots or hand-brewed pots has opened another wave of markets in Taiwan in recent years.

There are many coffee beans collected in the Department of Tourism of National University of Science and Technology, including Blue Mountain Jamaica, Mantening, Colombia, Brazil, Mocha, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Vietnam and so on. There are also Italian roast lattes and Italian roast cappuccinos. Yuan Wenxiang teacher said that each kind of coffee has a different cooking method, the flavor is also different. Students in this course must be familiar with brewing a good cup of coffee to pass the exam.

Cai Yuwen, a second-class tourism major, said that he originally drank latte coffee as a beverage. After attending a professional coffee class in school, he learned that coffee beans are like wine. Tea leaves have different grades, and different origins and estates also have their own flavors. He is interested in coffee field and wants to engage in related work in the future.
