Expand the plastic limit! Plastic bags of super coffee will be prohibited from being provided free of charge.
The EPA expands the plastic restriction policy on New Year's Day's road next year. Due to this revision of the law, the material categories of plastic bags for shopping are abolished and all kinds of plastic bags for shopping are included in the control. When people go to convenience stores to buy hot coffee, convenience stores provide thinner and transparent biodegradable plastic bags. Since the materials cannot be directly distinguished by their appearance, the EPA also stressed today that such plastic bags will also be under control and will no longer be provided free of charge.

The EPD first promoted the policy of plastic bags for shopping in 2002. Although the number of plastic bags has decreased by 58% over the past 15 years, the thickness of plastic bags has increased by 2-3 times. On the contrary, the total plastic weight has not decreased but increased after plastic restrictions.
This time, the EPD has expanded its plastic restriction policy, especially abolishing the restriction that plastic bags should reach 0.06 mm. The return is to restrict users to choose their own suitable thickness according to the characteristics of the goods sold. In the future, merchants in charge of plastic bags will have to pay for both later and thin plastic bags.
The plastic restriction policy has been expanded from the current seven categories to 14 categories, including 3C retail, books / stationery retail, make-up / beauty / pharmacy, medical equipment stores, laundries, beverage shops, and West Point bakeries. The second and last public hearing will be held today.
The EPA further stated that exclusion clauses, including direct storage of fresh food such as fish, meat, fruits and vegetables, or medicine bags used by factories to package products or medicine in medical institutions, are not regulated. Operators should also clearly encourage users to reuse and recycle them properly in the store.
The EPA expands the speed limit policy. New Year's Day will hit the road next year. Now the coffee bags that supermerchants will provide when they provide coffee will also be regulated.
