Coffee exports from Honduras grew by 28% in the year to April

According to the Honduran Coffee Association, the total value of coffee exports from Honduras during the above-mentioned period reached US $697.14 million, an increase of 46.78% from US $462.37 million in the same period of the previous year.
According to the report, as of the end of April, the international average price for coffee was $145.67 per bag, while the average price for 2015-2016 was $126.64 per bag, an increase of 15.02 per cent.
According to the association's report, by the end of April, Honduras had signed export contracts with international buyers for a total of 6.71 million bags, an increase of 25.28 percent compared with 5.356 million bags in the same period last year.
