The export price of Guatemalan coffee increased by 11.8%

Ricardo Arenas, president of the Guatemalan Coffee Association (Anacafe), said that international coffee prices are very fragile and are greatly affected by Brazilian production. According to the Central Bank of Guatemala, as of March this year, the country's coffee exports increased by 6.7 percent to 54.12 million 6400 kilograms, while foreign exchange earnings of US $255.189,200 increased by 19.4 percent over the same period last year.

The country's coffee exports this year (September 2016-October 2017) are expected to be 3.9 million metric tons.
