Yunnan Network News yesterday, Yunnan coffee promotion activity was held in Beijing.

In February this year, after the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the provincial government held the global promotion of "Open China: the charm of Yunnan World sharing" in Yunnan, coffee and other Yunnan plateau characteristic agricultural products attracted consumers' attention. The purpose of this activity is to invite the industry and people from all walks of life who love coffee to get together to taste the unique charm of Yunnan coffee, promote Yunnan coffee, enhance the overall influence of Yunnan coffee, and promote the sustainable development of Yunnan coffee industry.

More than 300 people attended the event, including coffee industry experts, representatives of world coffee chain brands, representatives of well-known coffee enterprises in China, heads of some five-star hotels in Beijing, people from all walks of life who love coffee, media reporters and so on.

Vice Governor Zhang Zulin attended the event and delivered a speech. He said: Yunnan is the largest coffee province in China, and we sincerely welcome you to come to Yunnan for a visit, have a look, and have an in-depth experience of Yunnan coffee.

Before the event, Zhang Zulin met with representatives of more than 30 well-known coffee enterprises at home and abroad, including Nestle, Starbucks, COSTA Coffee and 3W Coffee, as well as heads of coffee enterprises in Yunnan Province.

The event is sponsored by the Office of the Provincial Government in Beijing, the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Yunnan Land Reclamation Group.

It is understood that Yunnan, as the birthplace of Chinese coffee, the history of coffee cultivation can be traced back to 1892. French missionaries brought coffee to Yunnan from abroad and successfully planted it in Zhukula Village, Binchuan County. More than 30 coffee plants of this batch of coffee seeds are still blooming and bearing fruit. Yunnan's unique natural conditions have formed the unique quality of Yunnan small-grain coffee, which is "strong but not bitter, fragrant but not strong, slightly fruity". At present, the planting area of coffee in our province is 1.77 million mu, with a total output of 139000 tons, accounting for more than 99% of the country's total. Yunnan has gradually become a major coffee producing area in Asia, and it is also an important region for the world coffee giants to lay out the Chinese and even Asian markets.
