Cup Test Report:
Finca Lerida is located in Panama's famous Boquete coffee region.
In 1924, Mönniche and his wife from Norway came here and sighed at the beautiful and diverse natural environment. They settled here and started coffee cultivation. Mönniche, himself an engineer, noticed that coffee cherries often had problems with varying quality after harvest, so he developed and invented the device Sifon, which floats and separates beans. Although it is common practice today, nearly a hundred years ago, it was a pioneer.
In 1929, Lerida began exporting coffee to Europe and immediately became a representative of fine coffee. Today, the estate is run by the Chiari family. In addition to growing high-quality coffee beans, it also operates a natural ecological hotel. Thanks to the protection and management of the entire virgin forest by the estate owners, more than 500 species of birds can be seen in the estate. It is a famous bird-watching and outdoor ecological activity hotspot in Central America.
'Clean and thorough' is my first impression of Lerida Manor, like a flawless white diamond. Reminds me of the first time I drank Geisha, its natural delicacy, silky texture, strawberry, blueberry and cantaloupe aromas followed by notes of camellia and citrus flowers. After pouring hot water, light vanilla pods, charming caramel fragrance burst out, sip, dense berry flavor, amazing but delicate taste, silky whole coating in the mouth-
Cup Score: 92
