Participants in the "World Cup siphon Coffee Competition" must make 3 designated mixed coffees and 3 creative coffees within 15 minutes, and accurately control variables such as brewing time, temperature and firepower, all of which add to the difficulty of the competition. it is also an art presentation that makes the competition more anticipated.
The World Cup siphon Coffee Competition was founded in Japan in 2009. This year, the Taiwan Fine Coffee Association won the right to host the tournament in Taiwan. Ueshima, special director of the Japan Fine Coffee Association, said that he is looking forward to promoting exchanges among Taiwan's coffee industry through the competition. apart from increasing Kaohsiung's visibility in the international coffee industry, he also hopes to help Taiwan's upstream, middle and downstream coffee industry to open up the international market.
Zhou Yulong, honorary director of the Taiwan Fine Coffee Association, said that Taiwan's coffee imports reached 35,000 tons this year, a threefold increase in 10 years, which shows that Taiwan's coffee market has great potential for development.
