Convenience stores also sell freshly ground coffee. Which one is more suitable for you?
For professional baristas, please follow the coffee workshop (Wechat official account cafe_style)
Colleagues say:
"the convenience store downstairs is also starting to sell freshly ground coffee."
In fact, as a veteran coffee lover, I always acquiesce in my heart:
"drinking coffee is supposed to be Father Xing."
But was slapped in the face by colleagues around him:
"I often drink 7-11."
"if you are in a hurry, it would be nice to have a cup of coffee."
"I've bought three drinks since you stood in line."
……
As the saying goes, curiosity kills the cat, and even if you can't eat, you have to eat Amway.
So, we chose four convenience stores that you often visit:
Japanese convenience store 711, Rosen, the whole family, and the new Internet celebrity convenience bee.
Conduct a freshly ground coffee test.
To help you see what the coffee tastes like?

American / latte

First of all, evaluate the coffee-making process of popular science:

Therefore, the evaluation is mainly considered from these two aspects:
Quantifiable direction: raw materials / processes
Non-quantifiable direction: subjective evaluation (smell / taste)
1. Quantifiable direction: raw materials / processes

2: non-quantifiable direction: subjective evaluation (smell / taste)
Here are several factors that affect the smell and taste of coffee:
a. Coffee beans:
These convenience stores all use commercial-grade beans and some of the more expensive Arabica. Then here we will talk about the main kinds of coffee beans.
The two main kinds of coffee beans in the world are Arabica and Robusta. Among them, Arabica is of higher quality than Robusta, the former grows in high-altitude mountains, has higher sugar content and lower caffeine, has the characteristics of purity and freshness, has obvious citrus flavor and bright and crisp acidity, accounting for 70% of the use. The latter is used in instant coffee, canned coffee, liquid coffee and other industrial coffee, usually with a dry taste of raw wheat and rubber. And the price of Arabica is higher than that of Robusta.
In this evaluation, we learned that the whole family, 7-11, convenience bees use all Arabica, so they are very sincere in making coffee! Although Rosen did not specify what beans to use, he could hardly drink robusta.
b. Coffee maker:
The influence of foam on a cup of latte is very important, whether the foam is delicate or not directly affects the taste of the latte. For example, in the latte base, the concentrated part of the coffee is only about 60ml, and the 300ml on it is milk. If the coffee foam and milk are not well mixed, the coffee tastes bitter, even bad; if the mixture is just right, it is not only not bitter, but also has a sweet taste.
The best fully automatic freshly ground coffee machine on the market is FRANKE, which is said to be the original imported coffee machine from Switzerland and costs twice as much as other machines. And because of the industry-leading cold foam system, 150 cups of lattes can be made continuously, ensuring that the foam is more consistent, more delicate than other machines, more creamy and smoother.
c. Milk:
With the escalation of coffee consumption, convenience stores have seen a marked improvement in the use of ingredients, especially milk. In the process of making coffee, fresh milk tastes the best, followed by normal temperature milk and frozen milk. The whole family and the 7-11 store use fresh milk. Rosen uses room temperature milk and convenient bees use Starbucks milk.

This evaluation is based on the principle of fairness and impartiality
In addition to our evaluation team, we also invited several friends as "taste officers":

We believe that, both in terms of raw materials and technology,
First-line convenience store brands are really making coffee.
Although it is difficult to adjust, the standard of a good cup of coffee should be met.
