Costa Rica expects coffee production to increase
According to a report released by the Costa Rican Coffee Association (ICAFE), it is expected that during the upcoming coffee harvest season from October this year to September next year, Costa Rican coffee production will increase by 4.5% compared with the same period last year, and the rise in coffee prices will slow down, according to the Efi news agency. In the last two harvest seasons, Central American countries, including Colombia, have greatly reduced coffee production due to the serious impact of coffee rust, causing the price of Arabica coffee to rise by nearly 80% in the international market.
