International Coffee Day

In March 2014, the London International Coffee Organization ICO officially declared October 1 as the "International Coffee Day".

The 74 member states of the International Coffee Organization and 27 coffee associations around the world recently signed an agreement to designate October 1 as International Coffee Day, also known as the World Coffee Festival. The agreement was signed to designate October 1, 2015 as the first International Coffee Day.

The International Coffee Organization (ICO-International Coffee Organization), headquartered in London, England, was established in 1963 with a mission to provide support to global coffee farmers and promote the healthy development of the global coffee industry. Some members of the International Coffee Organization have previously stipulated coffee days in their own countries, most of which fall in September every year.

This time, thanks to the efforts of ICO, the member states agreed to designate October 1 of each year as the International Coffee Day.

The origin of festivals

"Global Coffee Day" evolved from the "National Coffee Day" in the United States. it was originally scheduled for September 29 every year, which is a special holiday for coffee lovers.
