The analysis shows that the highest annual sales of coffee (chain coffee shops, etc.) offered by coffee shops are in the United States, where annual sales are $26.1 billion (provisional 2018). This overwhelming advantage has not changed from 2007 to 2018. The second place is China, which is worth $5.1 billion, and the third is South Korea, both of which are growing unusually fast.

According to the "Coffee Industry Market demand and Investment Analysis report" released by the prospective Industrial Research Institute, the annual per capita coffee consumption in North American and European countries is about 400 cups, while that in Japan is about 360 cups. At present, the average person in China consumes less than five cups of coffee per year.

However, in China's first-tier cities such as Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou, per capita coffee consumption has reached 20 cups a year. China's coffee consumption is growing at 15% 20% a year, while the global average coffee consumption is growing at only 2%.
