This year marks the 100th anniversary of Alida Manor in Panama, and B.O.P won the double crown in 2018. At the auction, Lot BOP-GN-1 set a new global bidding record with a price of US $803 per pound. Lot BOP-GW-1 scored a record high of 94.66 in B.O.P history. Elida Estate Manor is one of the highest coffee growing sites in Panama. Coffee trees grow under rich shade trees and have quite fertile and nutritious volcanic soil. More than half of the estates are surrounded by privately reserved forests and volcanic national parks. At the same time, the manor is home to many native plants and birds (more than 200 species). Wilford is a third-generation producer, and in order to keep the coffee quality of Alida Manor at the top, the Lamastus family has invested a lot of research in processing technology. Although the Panamanian coffee industry is not like a professional project or laboratory in other countries, the Lamastus family and their neighbors are members of SCAP (Specialty Coffee Association of Panama), and they constantly get together to discuss each other's methods and new plans. In SCAP, members have a good relationship of sharing and cooperation. Elida Estate has long established itself as one of the most respected boutique coffee farms in Panama and the victorious army of B.O.P (Best of Panama). The Lamastus family, the growers of the past century and an experienced and proud coffee family, are constantly looking for new ways to improve their already outstanding coffee.

Typica is a tall cultivated Arabica species that originated from Yemen to Java and began to spread on the island of Java in the early 18th century.

The oldest native variety in Ethiopia, all Arabica are derived from iron pickups. The top leaf of the iron pickup is bronzed, and the bean body is oval or thin in shape; the flavor is elegant, but the physique is weak, the disease resistance is poor, and the fruit yield is low. Excellent manor beans such as the Blue Mountains of Jamaica, Manning of Sumatra and Kona of Hawaii all belong to Tibika.

Its plant is very similar to what we call Java today, with bronze pointed leaves, large fruits and seeds, very low yield, and susceptibility to all major diseases and insect pests.
