In addition to tea such as Dayeqing and duck shit green, there is also a charming tea that also comes from Guangdong, China; it is Yingde black tea. Tied with Keemun Black Tea and Yunnan black tea in the top three of Chinese black tea. Although it is not as famous as the other two, or you may never have heard of it. But you may know Yinghong No. 9 tea, which is the grade of Yingde black tea.

History

Yingde black tea is produced in Yingde, Guangdong, China. As we all know, Cantonese like drinking tea very much, and the kung fu tea ceremony also originated here. But all along, Guangdong people mainly consume oolong tea and black tea. Even the local Daye green tea has only a small market share.

In China, black tea is not as popular as green tea, so people prefer to produce green tea.

However, Guangdong is a major foreign trade port, adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao, which were once colonies of Britain and Portugal and did not officially return to China until the end of the last century.

Europeans prefer black tea; it accounts for a larger share of exports. Therefore, if you produce black tea locally, you will get more benefits.

Therefore, the local Hongqi tea factory transplanted large-leaf tea trees from Yunnan in 1955, iterated and optimized continuously to find the tea trees with high yield and most suitable for the local environment.

In 1959, the tea factory successfully produced Yingde black tea. Since the original intention of the master of tea art is to export to Europe, almost all the tea is in a broken style. After its publication, Yingde black tea quickly became popular all over the world because of its unique flower art and quality.

Features

Appearance: whether it is broken tea or whole-leaf tea, the dried leaves of Yingde black tea look very slender. But compared with other types of black tea, its color is not so dark and shiny. Like moonlight white tea, there is fluff on one side of the leaf; people call it "Jinhao".

Aroma: the biggest difference between Yingde black tea and other black tea is its unique aroma. Its dry tea has a strong aroma, but feels soft and fresh. After a sip of tea, the aroma will stay in your mouth all the time, making you feel fresh and comfortable.

Taste: because it is also made from Yunnan big-leaf tea trees, the taste of Yingde black tea is similar to Pu'er raw tea. The degree of fermentation is moderate, slightly bitter and astringent. But because of the chemical reaction with the taste buds, it will soon disappear and become sweet. In addition, just like its aroma, the taste of Yingde black tea is lighter, not as mellow as other black teas.

Benefits: the leaves of large-leaf tea plants usually contain more nutrients. Therefore, Yingde black tea may have more benefits to the human body. Especially under the same circumstances, the content of caffeine in tea is much higher than that in other black teas. It may be better for losing weight.

In addition, Yingde black tea contains more tea polyphenols, such as lycopene, theaflavins and so on. These rich nutrients make Yingde tea easy to form a golden halo in the brewing process, symbolizing high quality.
