The Shanghai catering company allows consumers to order and pay by scanning the code by affixing a QR code to the restaurant table.

Article 29 of the Law on the Protection of Consumer Rights and interests:

In collecting and using consumers' personal information, business operators shall follow the principles of legality, legitimacy and necessity, clearly state the purpose, method and scope of the collection and use of information, and obtain the consent of consumers.

Business operators shall take technical measures and other necessary measures to ensure the security of information and prevent the disclosure and loss of consumers' personal information. In the event of leakage or loss of information, remedial measures shall be taken immediately.

Nowadays, any milk tea store or convenience store is lobbying consumers to scan the QR code, follow the official account, log in to the Mini Program account, register the operation of members, and even want to get a series of unnecessary information such as consumers' names, mobile phone numbers, addresses, ID card numbers, and so on. Does the development of science and technology have to hurt personal privacy to the greatest extent?
