Arabica coffee parent species: Eugenioides
As we all know, coffee can be divided into three varieties: Arabica Arabica, Robbins Robusta and Liberica Liberica. The most famous and well-known of these is Arabica. We are familiar with the iron card, bourbon, Kaddura, Rosa and so on, all belong to the Arabica variety. The high-altitude growth environment, the slow growth rate, and the delicacy of the bean seed itself all show the high quality and treasure of Arabica. Eugenie Odes is the origin of Arabica, giving birth to all kinds of coffee beans in the long process of transplanting, mutating and mating.

Eugenie Odes has been brought to the scene of a world-class coffee competition for its unique flavor and excellent taste: in 2015, Eugenie Odes was brought to the field for the first time by American Sarah Jean at the WBRC (World Coffee Brewing Competition), winning fourth place; in 2019 and 2020, some players made it into the top 10 of the competition.
In 2021, Eugene Niodes won the double crown of WBC (World Barista Competition) and WBRC.

Eugenie Odes' caffeine is only half that of Arabica, with a very unique flavor, smooth taste, high sweetness, almost no citric acid, and is called "coffee not like coffee" by many people. it will taste like sweet tea, passion fruit, jackfruit and other aromas.

Although it has a great flavor, it is a rare coffee crop. Its physique is very weak, the tree is only medium size, compared with other coffee varieties, the leaves and fruits are much smaller, the fruit hanging rate of tree species is very low, and the fruit is very easy to fall, if encountered strong wind weather is easy to cause more serious losses. Therefore, it takes more time and energy to take care of it when planting, and the fruit yield is not high. A tree can produce only 150g of ripe coffee beans, and each tree can produce about 320g raw coffee beans if planted in a greenhouse.

Eugene Niodes' native place is deep in the mountains of coffee-producing countries in East Africa, but it is not very common on the market because it needs to be carefully taken care of and the yield is very low. in the face of worsening conditions caused by abnormal climate change, pests and coffee leaf rust, farmers do not take high risks to grow it, so it is only as a rare variety or as an experimental plant. At present, the cultivation of this variety mainly comes from the holy manor and cloud manor in Colombia, and the global production is rare.
