In recent years, there has been an increasing number of coffee drinkers around the world, and there are many people doing all kinds of research around small coffee beans. Through various experimental investigations, researchers have found that drinking coffee regularly has many benefits, such as reducing cancer, controlling weight, preventing Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease, reducing the risk of gout, and so on.
Recently, according to a new study published in the International Journal of Cancer (International Journal of Cancer), researchers have discovered new health benefits of coffee: reducing the risk of recurrence of colorectal cancer and all-cause death.
It is reported that the researchers analyzed the recurrence and all-cause death of more than 3,000 colorectal cancer patients in the Netherlands. After statistics, the researchers divided people into three categories according to their coffee consumption: less than 2 cups a day, 2 to 4 cups a day, and more than 4 cups a day.
After about 6 years of follow-up, 257 colorectal cancer relapses were recorded among 1708 participants, while in the all-cause death analysis, 1719 participants were followed up for 6.6 years, of which 309 patients died.
According to the data and model analysis, there is a correlation between coffee consumption and colorectal cancer recurrence, it can be said that the more coffee patients drink, the lower the risk of recurrence.
However, coffee is not as much as possible for patients with colorectal cancer. The researchers concluded from the data that patients who drank three to five cups of coffee a day had the best effect on reducing the risk of all-cause death, while drinking four cups a day had the lowest risk of death from all-cause causes.
In other words, for colorectal cancer patients, four cups of coffee a day can help them reduce the risk of all-cause death, thereby prolonging life.
Then some friends may ask, since coffee is so good for patients with colorectal cancer, does it have a similar effect on ordinary people who do not have the disease? The study, published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology, responds to a partner's question that coffee also has the benefits of reducing the risk of death and prolonging life expectancy for ordinary people.
The study found that the average person who drank 0.5 to 3 cups of coffee a day had better cardiovascular health than those who did not drink coffee, all due to a lower risk of death, cardiovascular death and stroke.
So, young people's verbal "life coffee" really has a life-sustaining effect in some ways. But the study also found that drinking coffee is not the more the better. The researchers found that once they drank more than three cups of coffee a day, the risk of death, cardiovascular death and stroke was similar to that of people who had no coffee habits.
In addition, the researchers investigated the effects of different types of coffee on human health and found that among all coffee drinkers, multiple cardiac function parameters of people who drank more than three cups of caffeine or ground coffee a day were better than those who did not drink coffee. the risk of death from all causes and cardiovascular disease was also reduced.
Just in terms of effect, ground coffee is better than decaf coffee, but both help improve cardiovascular health and reduce the risk of death, so the researchers speculate that perhaps coffee ingredients other than caffeine are also good for people's health.
To sum up, if you want to achieve the effect of coffee life, you'd better limit your coffee consumption to about 0.5 to 3 cups a day. Open the takeout software and order a cup of afternoon tea as soon as possible, but it's best to choose coffee without cause and ground coffee.
