Central America is a narrow strip of land connecting South America and North America. the countries in the region are small in area, but they are rich in natural resources, because the topography here is mainly plateaus and mountains, and most of the land is mountainous forest areas. there is a volcanic belt more than 1300 kilometers long on one side of the Pacific Ocean.

And close to the equator, thanks to its geographical location and topography, the continent has a rich and diverse climate, mainly tropical and Mediterranean climate, coupled with volcanic ash accumulation and fertile soil, which makes the state's agricultural industry developed, mainly for the export of coffee, bananas and other agricultural products. As a result, Central America has a number of countries famous for producing coffee, such as Honduras, Costa Rica and Panama. Among them, Panama is well-known in the global coffee market and is famous for its rose summer varieties.

In the 19th century, European colonists came to Panama and drove coffee saplings to Panama, but there was no concept of boutique coffee and paid more attention to production, which was only 1/10 of that of neighboring Costa Rica. Later, when international coffee prices were low, Panamanian growers realized that consumers began to pursue high-quality boutique coffee, so they set up the Panamanian Fine Coffee Association (Specialty Coffee Association of Panama, referred to as SCAP), and made Panamanian coffee famous by participating in various boutique coffee exhibitions and coffee competitions.

After gaining international recognition, the Panamanian Fine Coffee Association began to hold its own "Best Panama (Bast Of Panama-BOP)" competition to establish a reputation and foundation for the production of high-quality coffee beans in Panama. Moreover, in the 2004 Best Panama Competition, Rosa Variety won the first place with excellent results, which made Rosa coffee beans famous and constantly rewrote the record of international bidding prices for coffee beans.

The cultivation of high-quality coffee is inseparable from Panama's unique geographical environment and climate. Panama is located in the south of Central America, bordered by Colombia in the east and Costa Rica in the west. The country's terrain is undulating and its valleys are vertical and horizontal. Except for the plains in the north and south coastal areas, the rest are mostly mountainous.

As Panama is close to the equator and has a tropical maritime climate, it is humid during the day and cool at night, with an annual average temperature of 23-27 °C and an average annual rainfall of 1500-2500 mm in drought and rain seasons. Panama has many mountains and volcanoes, as well as rich forest and river resources, as well as a unique microclimate, making it ideal for growing crops such as coffee.

Panama is divided into 10 provinces and five Indian neighborhoods, while boutique coffee is mainly grown in the western province of Chiriki, divided into Boquete, Volcan-Candela and Renacimiento. The producing areas of Boquete and Volcan-Candela surround the country's famous volcano Chiriki (also known as Volc á n Baru), while Renacimiento is located on the western border of Chiriki province and Costa Rica, mainly in the Talamanca Range Mountains.

Poquet is the most famous producing area in Panama, whose name comes from the city of Poquet, which is located to the east of the Chiriki volcano, which is the highest peak in the country, with plateaus and basins at an altitude of 3477 meters above sea level. there are mainly coffee plantations on the slopes of 1200-2000 meters above sea level.

In addition, the temperature here is between 11 ℃-27 ℃ and will not be too cold or too hot. At the same time, the large temperature difference can make the coffee fruit grow slowly and develop its flavor. In addition, there is an appropriate amount of rainfall, fertile land brought by volcanic ash, ample sunshine and special local microclimate, so that the producing area can produce high-quality coffee. Qianjie Coffee has a rosy summer from Pokuit, which is washed and roasted moderately, with lemon-like acidity, bergamot and honey flavor, green tea and refreshing taste.

There are many well-known manors in this producing area, such as Jade Manor, Duncan Manor and Arida Manor. In the competition for the best Panama BOP in 2024, the Lamastus family, which owns Elida Estate, El Burro Estate and Luito Estate, won the producer of the year award, the most famous of which is Elida Estate.

The history of the farm dates back to 1918. The farm is owned by the Lamastus family, and the name of the farm, Elida Alida, is the name of the then farmer, Mrs. Robert Louis Lamastus, who is now inherited by her son Wilford Lamastus.

Elida Erida Manor has a total area of 65 hectares, more than half of which are located within Baru Volcano National Park, 30 hectares of which are planted with coffee trees and the remaining 35 hectares are virgin forests. Coffee is grown from 1670 meters to 1850 meters above sea level, making it one of the highest coffee farms in Panama. And the processing plant of Alida Manor is halfway up the mountain. After the coffee is collected, it can be transported to the factory as soon as possible to ensure the quality of coffee berries and thus produce high-quality coffee.

The manor mainly grows high-quality coffee varieties such as Rose Summer, Iron pickup, Kaddura and so on. In this year's BOP, Arida Manor's Rose Summer has won the championship in the tanning group. At present, Qianjie coffee has Kaduai coffee beans from Alida Manor, which are treated by the sun. after brewing, they will smell the slight aroma of sun treatment, and the entrance will have the flavor of peaches, raisins and oranges. Caramel-like sweetness, taste like green tea, high cleanliness.
