Recently, a consumer posted a post on social platforms to share his experience of a drink cup service, which triggered discussions among many users.
According to the poster, he followed the Internet's ordering strategy and ordered a cup of manga coconut glutinous rice with double pulp and sago ingredients at a wedding tea store. According to the experience posted by other netizens, when multiple portions of small ingredients are added to the drink, store staff will consciously upgrade the cup shape when making the drink, replacing the large cup with an extra large cup.
But when the customer consulted the store's customer service, he received a response that "I can't get a cup." The unexpected rejection made the party concerned very confused. He did not understand why other consumers on the Internet could successfully upgrade their cups. He also questioned the brand's rule of "ordering two small ingredients for free upgrades."
After the post was released, many netizens who were refused to upgrade the cup posted chat records in the comment area, saying that they also had similar confusion and believed that the brand's conditions for upgrading the cup were inconsistent. However, many users who buy the same drink use the oversized drink they get as an example and tell the poster that the store should upgrade the cup size of the drink with two more small ingredients.
Just as Xi tea consumers were discussing whether the drink ordered by the poster should be upgraded, some onlookers were puzzled,"The upgrade is also done according to the original standard ratio, not the increase. Why are you so pursuing a cup upgrade? ", admitting that he could not understand the persistence of the party concerned, but instead felt that the other party was trying to collect wool.
In response to this question, many people left messages explaining that when two extra portions of extra ingredients were added to the original packaging cup, the space left for drinks in the cup was reduced. If you don't upgrade the cup type and replace it with a larger capacity, the whole cup of drink will turn into a bowl of sticky "small porridge" because of more small ingredients and less liquid.
Therefore, in order to ensure the user's drinking taste and maintain the same amount of drink, Xi Tea Store will select the appropriate packaging cup type based on the customer's feeding situation. In addition to some special cup types, if a user adds 2 or more additional ingredients to the originally purchased 500ml tea drink, the "up-cup buff" will be automatically triggered, and the clerk will switch to a 650ml packaging cup when making the drink.
From this point of view, the "manga glutinous rice with double pulp and sago" ordered by the poster actually meets the conditions for adding 2 additional portions of small ingredients. Xi tea workers who appeared in the comment area also confirmed that if they received such an order, they would default to upgrade the cup size for the user and use a 650ml packaging cup to hold the full drink.
As for why there was feedback from the poster, the shop assistants speculated that the store's customer service might not understand the cup raising rules, or it might not have noticed that the customer chose "double the pulp."
They said that "double pulp" is included in the official cup lifting rules and is an extra serving of ingredients. However, this option will not generate an additional conspicuous small ingredient label in the background of the system, but will emphasize it with black bold font on the original drink label. Some migrant workers may ignore this small line on the label before making it, resulting in work negligence.
