Although there are many professional equipment that can be used to make coffee, the coffee guys have not been satisfied by this. They have always been committed to using alternative equipment to brew coffee. For example, recently, it has become popular in the circle to brew coffee using our tea cover bowl! This attracted the attention of many friends, so guests and friends in Qianjie have been constantly raising the topic of making coffee with bowls. "Can you really make good coffee with a lid bowl?" is a question that guests and friends must ask in every conversation.

I believe everyone is no stranger to making bowls! The so-called lid bowl can be simply understood as a three-piece combination cup. It consists of a lid, bowl body, and cup holder. The normal use is to make tea. And it can indeed be used to brew coffee, because the making of a delicious cup of coffee is not as complicated as everyone thinks. As long as we are familiar with the underlying logic of extraction, no matter what equipment we use, making a delicious cup of coffee is no longer a question. The question arises: What kind of coffee can be called good coffee?

Generally speaking, only coffee that can meet standards in all aspects can be called a good cup of coffee. For example, a balance must be achieved in flavor: sweet, sour and bitter tastes need to be balanced and coordinated, no taste is outstanding or stimulating, the aroma is rich and natural, and there is no obvious negative taste; or the taste is smooth and clean, and the coffee will not be drunk. Give people a thin feeling... All in all, if we want to make such a delicious cup of coffee, we must use appropriate parameters to control the dissolved coffee substances, so that the coffee can achieve a suitable extraction rate and concentration. No matter what kind of equipment is used to make coffee, whether it is brewed by hand or Italian, the taste of coffee is controlled by adjusting parameters. Therefore, if you want to brew a delicious cup of coffee with a lid bowl, you need to follow the same principle: find the right extraction method and the extraction parameters of the beans.

But fortunately, the way to brew coffee with a bowl is the same as the French press pot and the smart cup. It is an immersion style! So we don't need to study the adaptation parameters from scratch, we can just directly apply the formula originally used for the French press pot to it ~

It's just that the lid bowl is not equipped with filtering tools such as filters and filter papers. In addition, the appliance itself already has a mature brewing system, so its usage will be slightly different from that of a French press pot. So let's share with Qianjie how to use the lid bowl to brew a cup of coffee!

Brewing sharing Since the capacity of the lid bowl will not be very large, the amount of powder we use when brewing needs to be determined according to the capacity. For example, the capacity of Qianjie's lid bowl is 200ml. If it is brewed at a ratio of 1:15, the maximum amount of powder that can be used in Qianjie is 12g. So this time we will use 12g of coffee beans for brewing! The coffee beans used in this brewing are Jade Manor·Sun-Sun Diamond Mountain. Because many friends have been very fond of this bean recently, Qianjie shared it this time. The extraction parameters are as follows: powder amount used: 12g powder to water ratio: 1:15 Grinding degree: 10 scale of Ek43, 75% sieve rate of No. 20 sieve, fine granulated sugar shape. Extraction water temperature: 96°C Soaking time: 9 minutes First, we first use hot water to warm the lid bowl! Pour the hot water to one-third of the cover bowl, pick up the cover bowl, spin and rinse, and then pour away the hot water.

Then we poured all the coffee powder and hot water into the bowl according to the settings, and started to time the soak, waiting for four minutes!

For four minutes, we use the lid to brew the coffee powder slightly on the surface, which will accelerate the absorption of the coffee powder and allow them to sink, reduce the amount of coffee powder we pour out later, and give the coffee a cleaner taste.

When the brew is over, the lid is put back. Next, we only need to wait for 9 minutes before we can start adjusting the position of the lid and prepare for the soup. Move the lid to expose a gap of 2 - 3mm, and then use your thumb and middle finger to hold the bowl. On both sides of the edge, press the lid button with your index finger, tilt the bowl body to 90°C, and the coffee will begin to be poured out at a constant speed. (You can also drink directly with a covered bowl, pay attention to burning your mouth)

Until you can see that there is an obvious and large amount of coffee powder is about to be poured out, it means that the coffee has been poured out. Then at this time, we can straighten the bowl and start to taste this delicious cup of coffee brewed with a lid bowl ~ To be reasonable, the coffee brewed with a lid bowl is really---no different from the one brewed with a French press pot... Because the extraction method and parameters are the same, the coffee tastes the same. The entrance is full of sweet and sour berries, followed by obvious citrus and chocolate flavors, with a finish similar to oolong tea and a texture of honey. As the temperature drops slightly, the sweetness of the coffee becomes more and more prominent, and it begins to have a flavor similar to apricot peaches. It is rich in layers and delicious!
