Without prompting, Qian Jie believed that it was difficult for anyone to imagine that this prop that looked like a syringe was actually used to make coffee. That's right, it's the little coffee "toy" that is very popular in coffee circles-Aole Press.

The reason why Qianjie calls it a "toy" is not because it cannot make coffee stably, but because its playability is so high! In addition to changing the extraction of coffee through parameter adjustments, it can also use different forms to make coffee, which adds a lot of interest to the making of coffee. So at the annual Philharmonic Press and Brewing Competition, we can always see contestants making coffee in a variety of ways.

The reason why Aiyue is so different is that we have to mention Alan Adler, the inventor of Aiyue. Mr. Alan Adler is a mechanical engineering lecturer at Stanford, California Institute of Technology, Princeton and other universities. In addition to teaching, he is also an inventor. He has participated in the design of submarine and nuclear reactor control systems, military aircraft instrument systems and optical systems, and has more than 40 patents. Not only that, he often invents equipment for Aerobie, a sports equipment company he founded. In particular, the Flying Ring Aerobie and the Aerobie Pro, which he invented and launched in 1984, successfully broke the world record for throwing Frisbee because they flew at a maximum distance of 406 meters.

As you can see from the above-mentioned brief introduction to Front Street, Mr. Alan Adler did not have much connection with coffee in his early days. Then why did he have the sudden idea of creating a music press? In fact, like most inventors, the reason for inventing something is very simple: I don't think XX is good/inconvenient, so I want to make something more convenient and better myself. Before the birth of Aiyue Press, the mainstream coffee extraction methods were nothing more than hand-brewed and Italian style. Although these methods could make delicious coffee, they not only required the producer to have a high understanding of extraction, but also the entire production process is cumbersome and complex. So Alan Adler thought of making his own appliance that could easily make good coffee. So since 2003, the old man has been studying the theory of coffee extraction, and then in 2005, Aiyue pressure was born!

From the appearance, we can see that the shape of AILI is different from traditional coffee utensils. Let alone at that time, it was a very different existence in modern times, but this is the characteristic of Mr. Alan. This appearance, coupled with the original company's focus on making sports equipment, many people were not optimistic about Aiyue at that time. At the 2005 Seattle Coffee Show, Aiyue did not become popular because of Mr. Alan's fame and ended hastily. But the old man was not discouraged by this. At that time, he told the team: "It will make history and surpass all the products we have been selling. "After the exhibition ended, he began to share Aiyue's introduction posts and videos online, and the results were very popular! Everyone is very interested in this unique coffee appliance. So it didn't take long for Aiyue's introduction video to exceed 7 million views. Thanks to this, Aiyue began to become a popular star in the coffee industry.

Although it only took two years for Aiyue to go from idea to implementation, it took more than 40 editions to iterate during this period before it finally decided to present it in this syringe-like appearance. The working principle of Aiyue Pressure is hidden in its name, Aiyue Pressure "Areopress"-Areo+Press-"Through Air Pressure". Aiyue Press is a coffee extraction tool that combines immersion and pressure. Its structure is mainly divided into three parts: filter cover, cylinder body and pressure cylinder. At the beginning of the production, the coffee will be soaked in an infusion style, and then the syringe will be pressed down to apply pressure, so that the flavor substances in the coffee and coffee liquor can be released more quickly.

As Qian Jie said at the beginning of the article, the gameplay of Aiyue is very diverse. In addition to changing the extraction of coffee by adjusting parameters, there are also different ways to change the shape. For example,"positive pressure" and "back pressure" are two extraction forms that everyone talks about in the production of Aiyue Pressure. Because Qianjie explained it in detail in the article "Positive Pressure and Counterpressure of Aiyue Pressure", I won't go into it too much here.

By 2008, Aiyue Pressure had become very popular. Because it is too rich to play, it is often called the most fun coffee appliance in the world. There are also many people who want to know the best brewing plan for Aero, including Tim Wendelboe, a deep fan of Aero, a well-known coffee roaster in Northern Europe. As a result, Tim Wendelboe and several local Idol fans gathered in a small room to host the first Idol event.

There were only three contestants at the time, and Tim Wendelboe served as the judge of the event. Although it is not large in scale, such a competition also adds a lot of exposure to Aiyue. So gradually, the event became bigger and bigger, and the competition between three people has now evolved into a world-class event. As Mr. Alan said at the beginning, Aiyue successfully made history and became the highest-selling product in their company.

Okay, without saying much, let's let Qianjie share how to use Aiyue to make a delicious cup of coffee!

Aiyue pressed brewing Because the Aiyue pressed coffee extraction solution from Qianjie takes a faster time, the grind we use can be finer and the water temperature can be higher. And like all coffee utensils, it is suitable for brewing all types of coffee beans. So if we want to drink a cup of coffee that tastes sour and has flowers and fruity, we can choose lightly roasted coffee beans; and if we want to drink a cup of coffee that tastes bitter and mellow, we can choose Deep roasted coffee beans. Here, Qianjie wanted to drink a cup of sweet, sour, delicious and full of juice coffee, so the coffee beans he chose were Qianjie Boundary Estate·Xizhao in the Qianjie bean list. The extraction parameters are as follows: powder amount used: 15g powder and water ratio: 1:14 Brewing water temperature: 94°C Grinding degree: 8 scale of Ek43, 85% sieving rate of No. 20 sieve production method: Back pressure First, we first assemble the pressure cylinder and cylinder body of Aiyue Press, and pour them down.

Pour in coffee powder and hot water in turn.

Take out the mixing tool and stir! Stir for 30 seconds, then start counting.

When the time came to one minute, we began to put a filter lid and button the cup on the body, gently press it up to remove the excess air in the Philharmonic Press, and then turn the entire Philharmonic Press over in one breath!

Then we need to start pressurizing the coffee liquor. There are two points to pay attention to here! The first point is that when applying pressure, we don't need to be too hasty, just apply force evenly and slowly press down; the second point is that we must find a solid cup and a stable table. Because the force applied will be relatively large, if the cup and table are unreliable, it is very likely that some bad conditions will occur because they cannot be supported.

Then when we completely press to the bottom, the production of Aole pressed coffee can be declared complete!

Through tasting, we can feel the obvious flavors of grapes, passion fruits, apricot peaches and other fruits, with a touch of fermentation. The aftertaste is the flavor of preserved fruit and citrus. The overall balance is very balanced. Compared with hand-punched Xizao, Xizao made with Aiyue Press will have a more mellow taste. Because the filtration performance of AOLIP is not as high as hand-washed filter paper, the oil and some fine powder of the coffee will fall into the cup together with the coffee to improve the quality and aroma of the coffee. Because of this, the overall cleanliness will not be so high, but it will still be very delicious. Fun! It's delicious!
