From December 7 to 9, Dehong Prefecture of Yunnan Province successfully held the 3rd China Mang City (International) Coffee Culture Festival. Coffee merchants and domestic merchants from all over the world not only came to investigate and negotiate, but also held coffee cup competition with coffee experts and merchants from all over the world. Different from previous years, this year's cultural festival also invited experts and scholars from Portugal, Thailand and other countries to attend the International Coffee Business Forum, focusing on the cultivation of new coffee varieties, analysis of world coffee consumption and analysis of China's future coffee market.
After nearly 60 years of development, Yunnan has become the country's largest coffee bean production base and export base, although it is still in the initial stage, but the planting area for the first time exceeded 1.3 million mu. Facing the current situation of international coffee price decline, weak international coffee trade and weak domestic coffee consumption market development, Dehong, as the main coffee producing area of Yunnan Province with relatively perfect coffee industry chain in China, decided to adopt the strategy of "going out and inviting in" and strive to build Mang City into "the city of flowers and fruits and the capital of coffee."
Up to now, Dehong has built more than 260,000 mu of coffee base, with a total output value of more than 1 billion yuan and an annual export of more than 700 million yuan, driving 60,000 and 300,000 people in the whole prefecture to set foot on the road to prosperity.
