"For every 350 ml cup of medium freshly ground coffee consumed, 20 grams of coffee grounds are discarded. If one person drinks one medium cup of coffee a week, a thousand people will produce about one meal of coffee grounds a year! Disposing, landfilling or incinerating coffee grounds along with other waste increases the cost of waste disposal and contributes to the planet's greenhouse effect. The staff of Xingeng Workshop said that coffee grounds are also very rich in nutrients and can be called natural organic fertilizer. For this reason, Xingeng Workshop spent one year exploring coffee residue recycling, hoping to reduce urban waste.
